Your Bio

My father, Louis Coke, was a combat engineer during World War II. First with Company B, 327th Engineer Combat Battalion as part of the 102nd Infantry Division (Ozarks), then during the Occupation of Germany with Company B, 1st Engineer Combat Battalion until he shipped home in March 1946.

Fondry, Walter - photos : My father, Lou Coke, served with WALTER FONDRY (from Vermont) in the 327th Engineer Combat Battalion, 102nd Infantry Division (Ozarks) during WWII. Only one of my father's photos was labeled "Fondry". I'm sure that Walter Fondry is in all of these photos, except perhaps the last two. Please note that there is a caption under each photo. June 1, 1945 My father wrote home: We have moved south almost 200 miles and I think we'll be here about a month.
